Calgary Herald columnist Rob Breakenridge recently attempted to smear UCP leadership candidate Danielle Smith in this factually vacuous but insinuation-loaded column..I know both Breakenridge and Smith slightly and have been interviewed by both of them on their respective talk shows. However, I haven’t spoken to either of them since pre-pandemic times. Based on what I observed in those good old days, I would have thought that both of them would end up on the side of truth and freedom throughout the mind-boggling outbreak of hysteria and authoritarianism that we’ve endured over the past two years. Unfortunately, only one did: Danielle Smith. .Breakenridge has disappointed me - and no doubt, many of his former readers and listeners - by imbibing the government Kool-Aid and attempting to serve it up to readers too. He complains about an “odd and creepy fixation on vaccines that’s emerged in the UCP leadership race.” Did he not notice that for the first time in Canadian history, both federal and provincial governments attempted to compel millions of citizens to inject themselves with a rushed-to-market product for which the manufacturers are exempt from all liability, on pain of being forced out of their jobs, barred from public places, or forbidden to travel? Does he think this is something that Canadians should simply dismiss from their minds with no further concern that it might recur?.I don’t live in Alberta, but I’ve been watching the UCP leadership contest with interest because I consider it absolutely crucial these days that candidates for all government offices declare their position on this issue. “Vaccination” ruled all our lives for almost two years, and warnings are now spewing out of the WHO that it will return to plague us all again in the fall. I’m looking for a place where I can take refuge..Breakenridge accuses Smith of hosting on her internet show “a pathologist who has claimed that vaccines are killing people by the thousands” - insinuating that we all know the pathologist to be wrong, and Smith to be absurd for letting him say such things to the public. What rock has Breckinridge been hiding under? Deaths from COVID-19 vaccinations reported on VAERS the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System maintained by the US government) now exceed 29,000. (See graphic below.). VAERS .US pathologist Ryan Cole examined Pfizer’s clinical trial data - the documents that Pfizer proposed to hide for 55 years, but was compelled by court order to provide within 8 months - and discovered that more than 1,200 deaths occurred within the opening days of the clinical trials, despite Pfizer’s fraudulent reporting to the CDC that the shots were safe..Insurance companies around the world have been reporting huge increases in health problems and deaths in the period following vaccination roll-outs. Funeral directors and paramedics are now telling the world about the increased numbers of deaths that would seem to have no other cause except vaccine injuries. US senators and military doctors have noticed the pattern too. Breackenridge may be willing to stick his head in the sand, but thank goodness Smith is not..Likewise, he ridicules Smith for “touting hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin despite the overwhelming evidence of their ineffectiveness against COVID”. Again, he is overlooking abundant evidence to the contrary from groups of doctors such as Frontline Covid Care Alliance and the Canadian Covid Care Alliance..Breakenridge worries that Smith’s willingness to look beyond government propaganda, to face facts unearthed by courageous scientists and doctors, and to apply her own intelligence and common sense to the problem is influencing the other candidates to imitate her. I say, “The more the merrier.”.If Alberta chooses to chart a different course from the rest of Canada, offering residents the freedom to make their own medical decisions and preserve their bodily autonomy without penalty, my prediction is that it will experience an economic boom that will leave the rest of the country in its dust. Intelligent, analytical, hard-working people who’ve been treated like garbage by their own provinces - forced out of jobs, forced out of business, denied the freedom to socialize as they choose - will be streaming into Alberta, just as freedom-loving Americans from the authoritarian states of New York and California are now streaming into Florida..One would also hope that the opposing camp - NDP voters and authority-lovers like Breakenridge - would hate the change so much that they’d move out of Alberta. It reminds me of the scene from the movie Gandhi, where two long lines of refugees of different religions streamed past each other in opposite directions as they moved to live amongst those of like mind..I’ve considered moving to Alberta many times in the past, but the prospect of having the freedom to live my life free of the stifling restrictions that were imposed on me by Ontario these last two years will probably, finally, nudge me into action this time. Our lives are literally at stake. Go, Danielle!
