Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, after looking like a languorous Transcendental Founder Maharishi Mahesh Yogi with the beard and long hair, has gone for the concentration camp look and shorn his locks with what many have cruelly but accurately dubbed the “Dumb and Dumber” look sported by actor Jim Carrey in that memorable film that might have been an apt description of the Trudeau government cabinet. .But perhaps he’s actually getting hip to the Chinese peasant look of the 1950s and 1960s when millions of Mao Zedong’s slaves went through first the Great Leap Forward and then the Cultural Revolution in a sanguinary attempt to maintain the purity of Marxism in China. You know how Trudeau admires China’s ability to turn the economy around on a dime; well, with the Great Leap Forward, they managed to turn the economy upside down and kill millions of people with very little public opposition. What was left of the public was in concentration camps..We’ll never know how many people starved to death in the Great Leap Forward — it was called that because the aim was to transform China from an essentially agrarian nation into an industrialized one in a relatively short period of time and to hell with how many people had to perish in the process. Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin had tried the same thing in the 1930s and remarked that the millions who died were just statistics not homicides. So Mao made exactly the same mistakes as Stalin did, taking farm workers into the cities to work in factories and taking food from the countryside into the urban centres to feed the workers there while the rural dwellers starved to death..Trudeau has his own chimerical Great Leap Forward in mind and it is very similar to what is going on in the Netherlands, Germany, and Italy and throughout much of Europe where they are trying to achieve a high Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) score from the World Bank and World Economic Fund. The more a government buys into the climate change crisis, the higher the score. The economy can be in shambles and the government a veritable dictatorship, but as long as you’re taxing people to death for violating their carbon footprint, then you’ve got your priorities in order..It was one thing to target fossil fuels for this, but now Trudeau and others are going after food. And this is what most Canadians don’t seem to get. It’s not just the farmers in Europe who are at risk, it’s not just the food supply in Europe that could be broken; the war on food has come to Canada too. Trudeau has put a 35% tariff on fertilizer that farmers need for their crops. Fertilizer contains nitrogen, which Trudeau and other climate crazies believe is contributing to greenhouse gasses. So while the population of the world increases, we are going to produce less grain, less corn, less vegetables, less fruit, and less livestock..Do you see a problem here?.Trudeau has been fond of talking enigmatically about using the COVID-19 pandemic to push his own agenda. He actually used the word “reset.” .“This pandemic has provided an opportunity for a reset. So this is our chance to accelerate our pre-pandemic efforts to re-imagine economic systems that actually address global challenges like extreme poverty, inequality, and climate change,” he said..So the next time somebody tells you that all this talk about a “Great Reset” is conspiratorial nonsense, let them know that it’s people like Trudeau who are talking all this nonsense..Trudeau ran away from an appearance lately outside of Ottawa when it appeared some tractors were stationed among the protesters. Whether the prime minister thought the machines were going to come at him or not, it doesn’t take much to intimidate him these days and he was soon running in the other direction. The mainstream media was unable to concoct a cover story for that event as they had for his appearance at the Calgary Stampede last week where he dashed through a crowd of Liberal supporters before meeting head-on with the reality of real Calgarian opposition..And did you see podcaster Joe Rogan, who is politically all over the map but has decided that Trudeau is a “shaky” guy and that Canada is a “communist” country because this jerk is in charge? Rogan could have spared us all the blather about how he used to like Trudeau because he was so good looking and had nice hair and spoke so well. But you know how little Americans watch Canadian news; you might have a favourable impression of Trudeau if you only see him once a year, but any more than that and he certainly outwears his welcome..But as I mentioned earlier today as a guest on TRIGGERED: With Cory Morgan, I don’t think Trudeau has any real sense of how bad it is. He really does believe he has another majority government in him. You had better believe that the NDP is seriously reconsidering their informal alliance with the Liberals because they know they will be going down with the ship and they risk losing both credibility and seats in the process. .But will the Liberal caucus allow Trudeau to lead them into another election? The Liberals are excellent at removing their leaders quietly and out of the public gaze. But Trudeau will not go easily or quietly and his exit might be both disquieting and embarrassing..But then, anything related to this prime minister always is.
