NBC News senior reporter Brandy Zadrozny said Libs of TikTok and Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson are responsible for the Colorado sexual minority nightclub shooting. .“There’s a pipeline,” said Zadrozny in a Monday interview on NBC News. .“It starts from some smaller accounts like Libs of TikTok, it moves to the right-wing blogosphere, and then it ends up on Tucker Carlson or out of some right-wing politician’s mouth.” .A shooter entered a sexual minority nightclub in Colorado Springs, CO, on Saturday and opened fire, killing at least five people and injuring 25 others, before patrons confronted and stopped him. .The suspect in the shooting at Club Q was identified as 22-year-old Colorado Springs resident Anderson Lee Aldrich. Aldrich used a long rifle in the shooting, and two firearms were found at the scene. .At least two people inside the club confronted and fought him and prevented further violence. .Zadrozny called the shooting “heartbreaking.” She said the victims are a group of marginalized people who are disproportionately affected by hate crimes. .The reporter went on to say sexual minorities want people to stop gaining power by insulting them. She added the answer from the people demonizing this group is no, as “it’s too politically expedient or it makes us too much money and we don’t want to.” .She follows online hate trends.
