The Toronto Police Service (TPS) retreated and refused to intervene after Antifa stormed an anti-gender ideology protest outside a school on Friday. .“Trans rights are human rights,” said an Antifa member at the Friday event. .The other Antifa members chant trans rights are human rights. They wear masks over their faces and carry Progress Pride and “Trans liberation now” banners. .They tell Save Canada founder Josh Alexander to go home. Upon approaching a group of protestors, they push at them. .Alexander said they can disagree civilly. .“Keep it peaceful,” said Alexander. .The Antifa members do not listen to his request and continue to push at him. A member chants “go home fascist,” and the others respond with it. .After repeating the chant a few times, the member said “these streets are our streets,” with the others following up. .Rather than debate Alexander like he requests, they alternate between the three chants. .A member grabs the camera and moves a black banner in front of it, obstructing the view of the protest. As they repeat the chants, Alexander calls for the confrontation to break up. .He said the police should come in. The protestors chant louder as he tries to reason with them. .“Toronto police refuse to help us,” he said. .The anti-gender ideology protestors were able to encircle the Antifa members soon after. .“Support trans kids,” said a member. .The members repeat this chant. Many of these protestors hold pro-sexual minority flags and carry signs with messages such as “Protect trans kids” and “Canada has no place for bigotry.” .This member continues to shout out about transgender youth and rights, with the others repeating her chants. .Alexander’s brother Nick was dragged away and arrested by TPS officers with blood dripping from his head. .“That was an assault,” said a protestor. .Another protestor tells the officers to be gentle. Nick shuffles along as they walk away with him. .Protestors confront the officers as he is led away, saying they have gone rogue. They congregate around Nick while officers take him into custody. .These officers bring him to a police van and shut the door. An officer turns the key to lock it. .“Shame on you,” said the protestors. .The police van backs up, with people continuing to chant “shame on you.” Other officers cordon off a space as it leaves. .Josh said Nick was “sharing the gospel with the @TPSOperations as they arrest him for being the victim of an assault.”.“Canada’s unions are disgusting,” he said. .Canadian parental rights activist Billboard Chris confirmed Nick was punched in the face..“He was bleeding profusely,” said Billboard Chris. .“Earlier today, he was knocked over the head with a metal stick that broke.” .While Nick was punched in the face, Billboard Chris said he was arrested.
