Daily Wire host Matt Walsh said Tennessee Democratic State Rep. John Ray Clemmons (TN-55) should listen to his testimony about a bill banning gender transitions in minors because of his experiences. .“Well, my background that qualifies me to speak to this is that I’m a human being with a brain and common sense, and I have a soul,” said Walsh in a Wednesday video. .“And so therefore I think it’s a really bad idea to chemically castrate children.” .Tennessee State House of Representatives Majority Leader William Lamberth and State Senate Majority Leader Jack Johnson introduced a bill banning gender transitions in children in November. .This move came after Walsh published videos of the Vanderbilt University Medical Center transgender clinic..“Interfering or destroying the healthy, normal reproductive organs of a child for the purpose of altering their appearance is profoundly unethical and morally wrong,” said Lamberth..The video starts off with Clemmons asking Walsh for his medical background and education. .While Walsh did not go to college, he said he attended school long enough to learn how to read. He said he can read the data for himself. .“And for what purpose do you conduct this research and use this brain of yours?” said Clemmons. .Walsh said he uses his brain “to protect children from being castrated and mutilated.” Clemmons asked if he uses his brain to get clicks for the Daily Wire. .The host responded by asking if he was “using it right now to get clicks with this interaction.” He said he enjoys drawing attention to gender transitions in children. .Walsh concluded by saying Clemmons seems to find gender transitions in minors amusing. .“I don’t.”
