The release said RCMP determined about 20 ostriches escaped their enclosures and were on the loose. .One of the ostriches was hit and killed on the road. .The release said the RCMP supported the farmer in locating and capturing the loose ostriches over the last several hours..It acknowledged the video showing a police cruiser with the owner riding on the passenger side and grabbing an ostrich by the neck, which drew squawks of outrage on social media..All but two ostriches have been captured. Officers continue to help the owner capture the remainder.
