Protestors waved Canadian flags and held signs with messages such as “Weirdos in drag: Gender benders reading to children!” and “Protect the children.” .Protestors blared Christian music at the start, but they set up a microphone area and gave speeches. Many of the speakers said they were praying for sexual minorities. .About 60 counterprotestors stood in front of the CBE to offer support to sexual minorities. Counterprotestors waved pro-sexual minority flags and held signs with messages such as “Trans lives matter” and “Inclusive education saves lives.” .They mocked the protestors for believing in God. When a protestor would make a provocative comment, they would retort back. .The Western Standard attempted to speak with multiple counterprotestors, but was confronted by a group of them who demanded it leave the area. .“Go to the pedophile side,” said a counterprotestor. .“They rape hundreds of thousands of Canadian children.” .
