The Abbotsford Police Department (APD) had to bring Abbotsford School District (ASD) trustees out of a meeting because of a parental rights rally. .“Leave our kids alone,” said the protestors at the event. .The protestors continued to chant “leave our kids alone.” Some of the protestors carried signs with messages such as “Stop SOGI (sexual orientation gender identity) in schools” and “Leave our kids alone” and pointed their cellphones at the trustees. .A few APD officers walked out, looking around and gesturing their hands to the side. .The first trustee to walk out was a middle-aged white male wearing a grey suit. Some more trustees walked out and did not interact with the protestors. .Another middle-aged white male trustee wearing a blue suit walked out and pointed his cellphone forward. The final trustee was a middle-aged white male wearing a grey sweater. .A few APD officers followed behind the last trustee.
