Innisfail RCMP want to clarify some information about the search and rescue involving resident Lorraine Vandenbosch, who went missing from Dickson Point Campground on Monday. .Upon locating Vandenbosch as she emerged from a heavily wooded area, rescue teams had difficulties transferring her due to a steep embankment, according to a Thursday press release. The release said Alberta RCMP Air Services were again up to the task in supporting rescue efforts by landing in the difficult location and transferring her. .She was taken for medical assessment and transported by STARS to hospital. Officers will find out how she found water, what she ate, or where she was sheltered..The RCMP thanked the Red Deer County Search and Rescue, Rocky Mountain House SAR, Sundre SAR, Wetaskiwin SAR, Red Deer County Patrol, Innisfail Fire Department, Red Deer County Fire Department, Spruceview Fire Department, Alberta Conservation Officers, Raven Crime Watch, and Mounted Horse volunteers. .These rescue teams used drones, helicopters, airplanes, horseback patrols, and ATVs for the investigation. Savinkoff said these teams were "trying to cover off a lot of those areas." .The RCMP acknowledged Spruceview Bakery and Red Deer Costco for providing food to the teams.
