He said he hopes this apology puts an end to this ordeal. .Alberta United Conservative Party leadership candidate Danielle Smith responded by firing Craig Chandler, who was at the party, from her campaign..“I will not be associated with such behaviour and have instructed my campaign to immediately terminate any contract or other dealings with the involved company,” said Smith. .“As someone with indigenous ancestry, I honour the heritage of Canada’s indigenous peoples as one of our nation’s and province’s greatest treasures and strengths.” .Smith said Canadians must “stand in solidarity with our indigenous peoples to dispel any and all stereotypes that undermine their invaluable contributions to our country.” She said Denis never had any role in her campaign. .Chandler denied he recorded Denis making these comments. .“Jonathan Denis is my friend,” said Chandler. .“Somebody recorded it.” .He said the video was recorded in 2020 at a backyard party.
