It said she's doing a quad-major in criminology; psychology; communications; and gender, sexuality and women’s studies, with a joint minor in French and climate action and society..Simpson said she believes all students “need to be heard along with feeling safe and welcome.” She added she has a winning attitude and will not rest until all tasks are completed. .She said she “has a powerful voice for change that has been heard globally.” Her human rights advocacy is compared to Stonewall Riots leader Marsha P. Johnson. .The biography went on to say Simpson will work with and amplify demands from the Disability and Neurodiversity Alliance to protect disabled students on campus and eliminate bureaucracies at the Centre for Accessible Learning. It said she will advocate for increased permanent hiring of marginalized communities at SFU Health and Counselling Services (SFU HCS). .She said she would improve student mental health by allowing pets in residences. She promised to initiate a food price freeze at vendors at SFU Dining Services for the next six months because of food inflation. .Simpson committed to creating a pharmacy on campus offering students virtual care outside of SFU HCS hours and will be direct billed to their StudentCare Health and Dental plan.
