They denounced the statements put forth and stances taken by York’s administration as they use their platform to obfuscate the occupation of Palestine and absolve themselves from their role in the ongoing genocide. .The student unions concluded by saying they remain unwavering in their support of Palestinians’ fight for self-determination and liberation. They affirmed they are entitled to the right to shape their political, economic, social and cultural future. .“We stand firmly in solidarity with those resisting such oppression, actively contributing to the legitimate fight for justice against settler colonial nations,” they said. .“We as student unions have a responsibility to spread awareness and support the liberation of Palestine and all struggles for indigenous sovereignty.” .Osgoode Hall's Muslim Law Students’ Association (MLSA) said on Sunday it backs Hamas during its ongoing conflict with Israel. .READ MORE: Toronto university law student group voices support for Hamas.“The lawyers of tomorrow!” said Koch. .“Educated at our finest legal institutions!”
