Toronto police have launched an investigation into Canadian Hindu Advocacy director Ron Banerjee after he called for Muslims and Sikhs to die. .“At this time, the investigation is being treated as a suspected hate-motivated offence and is being actively investigated by Toronto Police Service’s Hate Crime Unit,” said Toronto police in a Monday press release. .The National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM) had called on Toronto police to lay hate speech charges against Banerjee over these comments. .“We are disgusted but not shocked as a well-known virulent racist spouted foul and hateful messages once again that are now circulating on social media,” said NCCM..The video shows Banerjee being interviewed at Dundas Square in Toronto, praising Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for killing Muslim and Sikh terrorists. .“Muslims got to understand that if they’re going to live in our country, they got to follow our rules,” he said. .“And if they don’t, then they’ll get it.” .Banerjee said he cannot stand radical Muslims or Khalistani Sikhs.
