Canadians by the tens of thousands took to the streets Wednesday morning in the 1 Million March 4 Children demanding more parental rights in classrooms..In Ottawa, St. John, Montreal, Toronto, Edmonton and Calgary, along with numerous other Canadian cities, people took to the streets in marches organized by Canadian Muslims..NDP leader Jagmeet Singh headed a counter-protest in Ottawa, standing behind a rainbow flag..The thousands of protesters on Ottawa streets was the largest protest in the nation's capital since the truckers' Freedom Convoy demonstrations..All of the protest sites had large police presences and counter-protesters..The protests came about after New Brunswick and Saskatchewan brought in laws that require young people to get parental consent before teachers can use their preferred first names and pronouns..Some of the protests have seen heated screaming matches between the opposing sides, but so far the marches seemed to have gone without violence..But the Ottawa protest did see police make arrests.....more to come
