A “super protest” is being planned for an April 10 TED Talks event in Vancouver where Bill Gates will be a keynote speaker..The billionaire founder of Microsoft will also be joined by Al Gore and Elon Musk for the 2022 TED conference dubbed “A New Era” and will run from April 10 to 14 at the Vancouver Convention Centre..Using numerous posts on Facebook and Twitter, protesters are rallying support for the demonstration, some speculating it could bring a convoy to Vancouver..Gates and his now divorced wife, Melinda, through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, have become one of the largest vaccine manufacturers in the world. The foundation has committed billions to vaccine research, development and distribution..The push for the COVID-19 vaccines throughout the pandemic and Gates’ heavy financial ties to the World Health Organization and the World Economic Forum have fueled several conspiracy theories around the billionaire and his foundation..In August, Melinda revealed she had been uncomfortable with her husband’s relationship with billionaire investor and convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein, who was convicted of procuring a child for prostitution, reportedly hung himself in his cell on August 10, 2019, within weeks of being imprisoned..Gates minimized his ties to Epstein, although it is well-known Gates met with Epstein on several occasions, even visiting his home and is said to have flown on Epstein’s plane — the ‘Lolita Express’ as it’s dubbed — at least once..The TED Talks conference has been a popular draw in Vancouver in the past.
