It has been an interesting first month of the CFL season for the Saskatchewan Roughriders as they bounced around the CFL Power Rankings..The Roughriders started near the top of the rankings after winning their first two games unconvincingly before the winless Montreal Alouettes handed Saskatchewan their first loss..After losing to the Alouettes, the Roughriders dropped to sixth in the rankings..The Roughriders got revenge against the Alouettes on Saturday with a 41-20 win..In both the CFL and 3DownNation Power Rankings, the Roughriders bounced back up into fourth. .The Roughriders trail Winnipeg, BC, and Calgary in the rankings..The Hamilton Tiger-Cats started the season ranked third but dropped to ninth after starting 0-4..With a lingering knee injury, Roughriders quarterback Cody Fajardo still had a good game even though star wide receiver (WR) Duke Williams did not catch a ball..Fajardo completed 18 of 29 passes for 224 yards with two touchdowns and a one-yard QB sneak for a touchdown..The defence had six sacks and forced five turnovers..WR Kian Schaffer-Baker caught eight of Fajardo’s passes, including a 90-yard catch and one touchdown..WR Shaq Evans is out with an ankle injury for the next six to eight weeks..The winless Ottawa Redblacks are coming to Mosaic Stadium on Friday.
