He added his contributions to the Conservatives were $11,500 and made over a period of more than 30 years. .Elections Canada filings show a person with Guay’s name and municipal address since 2005 donated $44,296 to the Liberals and $4,650 to the Conservatives. He said none of these donations were “made in exchange or with the objective or expectation of signing many years later any contract with the federal government.” .His companies’ contracts included leasing vacant lands to house winterized trailers and the Department of Immigration booking every room in his border hotel since 2018. .He went on to say all the border crossers were well received at the hotel.
