Elon Musk, CEO of Starlink and Tesla, has hit out again at Twitter "for going way too far.".The tweets were prompted after Twitter kicked intellect and psychologist Jordan Peterson off the social media platform for 'deadnaming' Canadian trans actor, Elliot Page..Deadnaming is using without permission the name — called a 'deadname' — that a transgender person used before transitioning..Peterson tweeted: "The Umbrella Academy actor, who previously went by the name Ellen before announcing his transition in 2020.".The SpaceX billionaire accused the platform of overreacting in suspending the popular psychologist and author for his post about the transgender actor..Musk said that Twitter is "going way too far in squashing dissenting opinions.".Peterson's account was disabled for tweeting his opinion about Page's transition to a man. He said the the actor's breasts 'were removed by a criminal physician.'.Page transitioned from female to male and came out as a trans man in late 2020..Twitter then suspended Dave Rubin — author, comedian, and TV personality best known for his political commentary — for sharing a screen capture of the tweet that got Peterson suspended. Rubin has no plans to delete his tweet.."While it is unclear how I broke their terms of service, it is clear they are breaking their fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders by letting a bunch of woke activists run the company. I hope Elon Musk's purchase of Twitter goes through so he can blow up their servers and humanity can move past this pervasive, twisted, self-imposed mental institution," said Rubin after his suspension..The tweet was his latest online tirade, with him earlier having launched into Sports Illustrated magazine for featuring plus-sized swimsuit model Yumi Nu on the front cover..Peterson tweeted she was 'not beautiful,' presumably in reference to her body type..Musk's contribution to the debate came on the heels of his child Xavier, 18, who announced she was trans expressing her wishes to be called Vivian Jenna Wilson..Twitter told him he could get back his account if he deleted the tweet in question. The tweet said, “Remember when pride was a sin?" as well as the comments about Elliot page having had his breasts removed. Peterson said he would “rather die” than delete the tweet..Twitter flagged Jordan's tweet claiming it "violated the Twitter rules on hateful conduct.".Peterson's daughter, Mikhaila, shared a screenshot of the original tweet and the message from Twitter her father received.."Wow. @jordanbpeterson got a twitter strike. No more twitter until he deletes the tweet. Definitely not a free speech platform at the moment @elonmusk," Mikhaila Peterson said.
