Closed laptop computer .The LCC released a statement which outlined the investigation results..Over the course of two years, Guggenmos tweeted thousands of times through anonymous Twitter accounts, where he targeted specific people..Guggenmos targeted men and women, but “he used language that was specifically demeaning to women,” according to the LCC statement..“Such misconduct is unbecoming of a spiritual leader as it fails to conform to the holy life which Scripture and LCC requires of its pastors,” said the statement..Guggenmos used several anonymous accounts and the investigation analyzed a tweet allegedly condoning pedophilia. However, Guggenmos could not be confirmed as the author and he denied writing it..“I did not ever tweet anything about sexual relations with minors. That tweet is an obvious fake and is libel,” Guggenmos told CTV News in September..In early 2022, the investigation started after several people came forward with complaints to the LCC against Guggenmos..“LCC is grateful to the complainants for their strength and courage in bringing this matter to our attention, and for their patience while awaiting the conclusion of the independent investigation,” said the LCC..“We express our sincere sorrow and pray for all who have been affected by this unacceptable situation, especially those who were the recipients of unwarranted and disturbing online behaviour.”.Retired RCMP officer Erin Folk did the investigation on behalf of the LCC..Guggenmos deleted all his social media accounts except Instagram, which has no posts.
