Conservative leadership candidate Leslyn Lewis said governments need to look into Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS). .“We were quickly told this wasn’t vaccine-related,” said Lewis in a Wednesday email. .“But that is not good enough.”.The email pointed out SADS manifests in healthy young adults who suddenly drop dead. It said SADS might be the reason the leading cause of death in Alberta is because of unknown reasons. .Alberta reported on July 5 an unprecedented increase in ill-defined and unknown causes of death in 2021. .Unknown causes is leading the way over dementia, which had been in the top spot since 2016, and COVID-19, which began adding to the death tally in Alberta in 2020. .Unknown causes of death took the first spot with 3,362 in 2021, up from 1,464 in 2020 and 522 in 2019. .If three young women went missing in a neighbourhood and police claimed it was not a serial killer, the email said this theory would be insufficient. It said people must demand answers. .She went on to say since she's been bold enough to ask questions about the COVID-19 pandemic, she has received “a steady flow of communications from doctors, nurses, and paramedics who are concerned that SADS is indeed vaccine-related.” Many of these people do not want their stories shared because they know they will be fired. .The email said other people want their stories told. For example, one woman told Lewis her niece and nephew died from suspected vaccine-related issues within six months of each other. .People have shared with her stories about SADS at every campaign stop she has done. She said it's “heartbreaking that many of these people are more comfortable sharing their concerns and grief with me than talking to their coworkers, friends, or family.”.The email asked which version of her spreading a conspiracy theory will be used by government-funded media this time. .“I am simply standing with my fellow Canadians saying that we deserve to hear the truth,” she said. .“We deserve the respect of being allowed to think logically without being slandered and cancelled.”.GB News host Mark Steyn ranted about unknown reasons being the leading cause of death in Alberta on July 26. .READ MORE: WATCH: UK show host confounded with Alberta's uptick in deaths with unknown causes.“You're more likely to die of an unknown cause in a first world society than anything else," said Steyn. ."There's a lot of unknown cause going around.".
