When you look at the nitwits who're currently attempting to run the Trudeau regime, it's almost reassuring we aren't the only ones subject to such bad governance. Just take the United States federal government — and I’m sure millions of Americans would shout in unison, “Please.".As we have often noted, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and U.S. President Joe Biden may be decades apart in age, but they are strangely alike in many ways. Both have a penchant for dividing their countries by blatantly smearing their political opponents in the basest of manners and both have become emblematic of the woke politician. You would have predicted this of Trudeau, but not of Biden, who spent most of his political career as a conservative Democratic senator from Delaware and once bragged that he came from a “slave state” and that segregation was a source of “black pride.” But more than woke, Biden is just adaptable to whatever the current political flavour of the moment is and he is willing to jettison whatever principles he has for power..Biden has been digging a pit ever since his inauguration when he began issuing executive orders that set the stage for losing energy independence, inflation, an open southern border and urban crime..The U.S. president told big oil, "I understand that many factors contributed to the business decisions to reduce refinery capacity, which occurred before I took office. But at a time of war, refinery profit margins well above normal being passed directly onto American families are not acceptable. .There are a number of problems with this ludicrous piece of correspondence. Before this idiot became president, America was energy independent and gasoline was selling for $2.20 a gallon at the pump. It is now at least more than double that and is selling for $10 a gallon in California. .What is Biden talking about when he says “a time of war?” The United States is not at war. Biden may be doing his damnedest to start a nuclear confrontation with Russia but he’s been unsuccessful so far. But he seems to have forgotten that..The reason that gas prices are so high has very little to do with what Biden calls the “Putin Price Hike.” On Day one of his presidency, Biden shut down the Keystone XL pipeline, cancelling thousands of jobs and Canadian oil. .Trudeau issued a muffled objection but little else even though a lot of those jobs were Canadian too. But hell, it mostly affected Alberta..Biden didn’t stop there. He promised an end to fossil fuels and he’s been stifling exploration all over the United States ever since in his obsession to rid the US of gas and oil and convert the nation to green energy. But even if every American could afford to buy an electric car today, there would be no way to furnish the demand because there would not be enough batteries to power them..Biden’s energy secretary, Jennifer Grenholm, seems to live on another planet and knows absolutely nothing about energy — except electric cars because she has investments in that industry so is quite dedicated to promoting the end of gas-powered vehicles. .She recently stated it would be wonderful to move to a green energy world because while oil can be weaponized and embargoed and used as a tool of coercion, nobody can control the sun and the wind. No, but there are many days in the year when the sun don’t shine and the wind is blowing so you won’t be getting any power, Ms. Grenhold, or did you not think of that?.It takes about a grade five education to figure out solar and wind power are completely inadequate for a modern, industrialized economy but yet here is a cabinet secretary who's apparently unaware of this. .Russian President Vladmir Putin has been a convenient villain for Biden for all the inflation and shortages that have appeared and, ironically, even the economic sanctions the U.S. applied against Russia haven’t had the desired effect. What exactly is the U.S. policy in Russia besides apparently trying to incite a nuclear war? It appears to be managing a war of attrition that will bleed both the Russian and Ukrainian forces white and ultimately will benefit absolutely no one. In the meantime, the U.S. seems to want to enlist every European state into NATO without even defining what the objective of that organization even is. .But while Biden is sending hundreds of billions of dollars worth of arms to Ukraine to keep the war going in order to secure the sovereignty of its border, he has done absolutely nothing to bolster the security of his one southern border. He woke up once last year and declared there was a crisis, his handlers quickly issued a clarification and Biden hasn’t mentioned the issue again..Meanwhile, the illegals coming across the border are bringing enough fentanyl to kill every American and are feeding a national drug addiction that is a byproduct of the economic hopelessness in the nation where salaries are not keeping up with the cost of living. Mothers can’t even get baby formula to feed their children and Biden is blaming that on the producers too..The funniest thing is Biden, who has had a free ride from most of the U.S. mainstream media, has the gall to blame them for his troubles, saying they only report “sensationalism” and not his hard work..You could follow Joe around from dawn to sunset and not find any evidence of hard work because those days — along with any coherent thoughts — are far behind him. He’ll be very lucky to serve the rest of his term and will never be elected to a second.
