It was part of the easing of COVID-19 restrictions announced by Kenney Tuesday night..“Disturbing to see that the teachers union thinks unmasked kids create “an unsafe workplace,’ and is threatening legal action to force kids to wear masks indefinitely. Almost all Alberta teachers are triple vaccinated. Treat kids like kids, not ‘unsafe’ vectors of transmission,” Kenney tweeted Wednesday..Kenney was referring to a tweet from Alberta teacher Greg Carabine, a member of the ATA executive, that teachers were not going to take the unmasking laying down..“You can be sure our lawyers will be working on it in the morning,” tweeted Carabine..Later, Carabine tweeted it was “untrue” teachers want forced masking indefinitely.
