Josh Alexander said he was arrested in Calgary for handing out Bibles on the I Stand With Josh Alexander Day while his own church wouldn’t stand with him..Liberty Coalition Canada, who is defending Alexander in legal matters, organized the May 17 event where students were encouraged to walk out of school to stand in solidarity with the Grade 11 student. He was barred from his Catholic high school in Renfrew, ON for saying gender and biology were linked and that biological males should not be in women’s washrooms..In a conversation with Laura-Lynn Tyler Thompson posted to Rumble, Alexander said police stopped the protest almost as soon as he arrived..“We gave out Bibles at Western Canada High School. We were there for the international I Stand with Josh Alexander event,” he said..“I decided I would put a poll out on Twitter to decide which school we were going to, and we just went there. And about four minutes into the event I was arrested. I got to shake hands with one student who was then bringing a crowd around the Bibles. And that's when the police arrived and arrested me. I was getting mauled by Antifa and BLM [Black Lives Matter].”.READ MORE: Josh Alexander arrested in Calgary after fight breaks out at protest.Alexander thinks his opponents got money for their actions..“I go as far to say a lot of them are probably paid. But obviously, that's not the case amongst the majority of churches and a lot of Christians these days, and we just need to continue to push and encourage other Christians to stand up. So, the church is shameful at this point.”.Asked if he ever thought of quitting, Alexander said no..“I'm certainly not going to stop. So I think it's important to get a voice in there. Max spoke out for me, and I'll do my best to support him.”.Alexander expressed doubts that federal Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre would share his stand..“We have the entire country throwing their support behind this guy; he's gonna be our saviour, apparently, but he won't even stick out his neck for teenage girls.".“If he's not going to stand up for teenage girls now, he'll never stand up for anybody. And that should be pretty clear to the majority of society.”
