The Calgary Fire Department (CFD) has arrived in Marlborough after a massive explosion took place around 8:50 a.m. .The incident happened in the 600 block of Maryvale Way N.E.."The explosion was felt throughout the neighbourhood and completely destroyed one house," said the CFD in a Monday press release.."The force from the explosion also damaged and ignited two other neighbouring homes." .The release said the number of injured people is at 10. It said most of the injured patients are believed to have been from the source house..Patients were transported by EMS to various Calgary hospitals..So far, fire crews have been unable to access the source home at this time to search for any more patients due to structural instability. .The explosion created a large debris field, several fires and damage to other surrounding houses.."Enmax has shut down power to the area and ATCO is working on clamping the natural gas line," said CFD. .The Foothills Hospital has issued a code orange for a mass casualty incident.
