Edmonton police officers shot and killed an armed man and an innocent bystander on Wednesday after responding to an armed robbery..Edmonton police were called to an armed robbery at a liquor store near 113 Street and 104 Avenue at 6:30 p.m..Police pursued the suspect who had fled the scene and caught up with him near 105 Street and 107 Avenue about a half-hour later..The ensuing confrontation left the gunman dead. A second man in a nearby suite was also struck by gunfire. He later died in hospital from his injuries..Police Chief Dale McFee said “this is not easy news to share.
