Basic with Ads will be offered in Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. .The release said current streaming plans and members will not be affected. It said Basic with Ads will complement Netflix’s Basic, Standard, and Premium plans. .What will stay the same is a wide variety of TV shows and movies, a personalized viewing experience, availability on a wide range of devices, and people can change or cancel their plans at any time. The differences are the video quality will be up to 720p/HD, an average of four to five minutes of ads per hour, a limited number of movies and TV shows remain unavailable because of licensing restrictions, and no ability to download videos. .The release said people can sign up through Netflix.com and register with their email, date of birth, and gender. It said this version will allow the platform to reach more diverse audiences, including younger viewers who do not watch linear TV. .The release went on to say at launch, ads will be 15 or 30 seconds in length, which will play before and during shows and movies.
