The New York Post is reporting sources say criminal charges against Alec Baldwin over the fatal shooting on the set of his movie Rust have been dropped..“Baldwin, 65, was charged with involuntary manslaughter over the Oct. 21, 2021, shooting of 45-year-old cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the New Mexico film set,” says the Post..Baldwin pleaded not guilty to the charges..“The source said the charges will be dismissed just two weeks before the case was expected to head to trial,” reports the Post..Rust director Joel Souza was also wounded in the on-set shooting..Judge Janine Piro on Fox News said, “They brought in two new recently appointed prosecutors who are dismissing ‘without prejudice’ which means they can come back after an additional investigation and file additional charges.
