The City of Calgary announced Stampede Park will be the location of the launch of the aerial fireworks display on Canada Day. .“The City of Calgary committed to sharing the location for a site to hold the Canada Day display, and we’re so happy to announce our partner, the Calgary Stampede, will be the site for the launch of 2023 fireworks,” said City of Calgary City Manager David Duckworth in a Thursday press release. .The release said the exact details of timing will be announced closer to the date once plans are finalized. It added onsite viewing at Stampede Park will not be possible due to the set-up of the Calgary Stampede. .Calgarians will have a variety of options to observe Canada Day in a way most meaningful to them.
