RCMP in Chestermere is warning the public of the release of high-risk offender Trong Minh Nguyen — jailed as a violent Fresh Off Boat (FOB) gangster..Nguyen, who will be released Thursday, was convicted in 2012 of “conspiracy to commit murder and counselling an indictable offence which was not committed,” said RCMP in a statement..He has also been convicted of previous charges including firearms offences, assault of a peace officer and failing to comply with his release conditions..The RCMP said “after careful deliberation,” it was decided to issue the warning in the “interest of public safety” and in “consideration of all related issues.”.“The RCMP believes that there is a risk of significant harm to the health and safety of the public,” said the statement. .“Members of the public are advised the intent of the process is to enable members of the public to take suitable precautionary measures and not to embark on any form of vigilante action.”.“Anyone believing that a crime has been or is about to be committed is encouraged to call police.
