It said VAERS SOP has been updated since it was first enacted. .The letter went on to say the CDC and Food and Drug Administration chose to rely on Empirical Bayesian (EB) data mining rather than proportional reporting ratio (PRR), which was believed to be more robust. It added the PRR was consistent with EB, revealing close to the same number of unexpected safety signals. .Walensky said the CDC performs extensive data collection and analysis to detect adverse effects to COVID-19 vaccines and communicates this information to the public.
