Caroline, AB, teacher Tyler Kanten has been charged with sexual assault and sexual interference after an alleged incident with a minor. .A Thursday press release said Rocky Mountain House RCMP received a report of a recent sexual assault of a youth on Oct. 10. .An investigation commenced and Kanten, 42, was arrested Oct. 13. .Kanten was taken before a justice of the peace and released with conditions. His next court date is Nov. 2 at the Rocky Mountain House Provincial Court. .The release said the offences did not occur at or involve a student at the school he works at. .A publication ban has been enacted to prevent the release of any information that could be used to identify the victim.
