Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN) CEO Dawn Walker and her seven-year-old son Vincent Jansen are still missing..Walker was last seen on Friday in Saskatoon and reported missing with her son on Sunday evening..After several friends tried to contact Walker over the weekend, they became concerned and went to the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS), as it is highly irregular of Walker not to respond..At approximately 9 a.m. on Monday, the SPS found her red Ford F150 truck south of Saskatoon near the South Saskatchewan River at Chief Whitecap Park..Someone found Walker’s purse in the park over the weekend and turned it into the RCMP..The SPS found Walker’s truck with some of her personal belongings..One theory the SPS considered was Walker may have been going to Edmonton for Pope Francis’ apology, but the police found her son’s iPad and her suitcase in their home..The SPS are searching the South Saskatchewan River and assisting are the Public Safety Unit and Air Support Unit, along with partner agencies..People are asked to stay away from Chief Whitecap Park so as not to hinder the SPS search and investigation..The FSIN asked police to issue an Amber Alert to help find Walker, but it didn't meet criteria for the alert..At 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday night, a candlelight vigil for Walker and her son will be held at Chief Whitecap Park, which is south of Saskatoon..The SPS asks anyone with information regarding Walker or Jansen to contact police at 306-975-8300..Dawn Walker is 5’5” tall, medium build, blond hair, and brown eyes..Vincent Jansen is 4’2” tall, slim build, brown hair, and brown eyes.
