A Calgary police sergeant has been killed by a hit and run driver on New Year’s Eve..Sgt. Andrew Harnett, 37, a 12-year veteran of the force, had pulled over a vehicle about 10:50 p.m. Thursday night at Falconridge Blvd. and Falconridge Drive N.E., Calgary Police Service said in a Friday statement..He was then struck by the vehicle which fled the scene..
