The Calgary Police Service (CPS) have charged a father and son who are alleged to have sexually exploited, assaulted, and extorted multiple teenage girls over several months. .“These are incredibly serious charges, where vulnerable youths were being targeted, exploited, and forced to enter a dangerous lifestyle,” said CPS Child Abuse Unit Staff Sgt. Darren Smith in a Friday press release. .“Thankfully, with the support of Alberta Health Services, Alberta Gaming Liquor and Cannabis Commission, and the City of Calgary, we have been able to stop the continued exploitation of these young girls, and with our partners at the Luna Child and Youth Advocacy Centre, will be able to support the victims moving forward.”.The release said CPS located a 13-year-old girl who had been reported missing in April. It added the girl disclosed to police she was in a relationship with a 24-year-old man who allegedly provided her with alcohol, drugs, and vapes for sex. .Subsequently, the CPS Child Abuse Unit launched an investigation. .Police learned the man and his 56-year-old father worked at and owned Haddon Convenience Store, located at 208 Haddon Road SW. They owned Premier Liquor Wine and Spirits, located next door to Haddon Convenience, where the sexual assaults allegedly happened. .As the investigation progressed, the release said officers determined the father and son were providing vapes, cannabis, cigarettes, and alcohol to multiple other teenage girls, who were allegedly sexually assaulted at their businesses. It is alleged the incidents occurred between December and May. .It said police arrested the two suspects on Thursday.
