The Boston Children’s Hospital said it has been receiving bomb threats because parental rights supporters have been spreading misinformation about gender transitions. .“CEO Kevin Churchwell continues to say that these threats are due to individuals spreading false information,” said parental rights activist Billboard Chris in a Monday tweet. .“The only person I see lying is Kevin Churchwell.”.Billboard Chris said the alert came, and an all clear was issued six minutes later. .Churchwell said in an email as long as people are spreading “false information and harmful rhetoric about the gender-affirming care we provide, these incidents will likely continue.” .“We also recognize that even when presented with the facts, as in Saturday’s article in the Boston Globe, there are those who will always object to gender-affirming care,” he said. .“We will respond the only way we can — with the truth, and with an unshakeable commitment to providing the highest quality, science-based care to our patients.” .The email said he apologizes for the threat against Boston Children’s Hospital and their staff. While he is grateful this incident was another false alarm, it said he knows each of these events takes a toll on people. .The email went on to say all of the staff at the hospital have committed their lives to the care and well-being of patients and families. It added a person threatening innocent people’s lives due to ignorance and hatred is unthinkable. .If there is any possiblity of danger to families and the team, it said the hospital has to take it seriously.
