The People’s Party of Canada (PPC) leader Maxime Bernier says, "it's not a good time to be Canadian.".Bernier said rights in Canada are being trampled on by "an authoritarian and corrupt Liberal regime that has abandoned the rule of law."."Inflation is skyrocketing, we're heading for a recession, and we're getting poorer.".Bernier believes the country of Canada seems to be more divided than it's ever been. However, he admits Canadians are still blessed to be living in a relatively free country despite the division.."Polls show that Canadians are getting more and more pessimistic about the future. Canada Day is a time to remember why, despite everything that's going wrong, we are so blessed to live in this great, beautiful, and still relatively free and prosperous country.".Bernier said when we compare ourselves with the rest of the world, it's not the first time in our history that we're going through a crisis.."Just like when it happens in our personal lives, we need, as a country, to stay resilient and rely on common sense to help us as we go through these hard times. There will be better days," Bernier said.
