A 13-year-old boy was denied medical treatment at a walk-in clinic in Enderby, BC, due to not being vaccinated, Castanet is reporting..The boy, who turned 13 in April, injured his wrist while skateboarding. His mother, Kate Stein, called the only walk-in clinic in town to make sure there was space available. She was told there was indeed space but the doctor would not see anyone unvaccinated..No exceptions were made for the boy who is barely over the age of 12, and Stein was told by the receptionist to take him to the emergency room at Shuswap Lake General Hospital in nearby Salmon Arm..“I was blindsided by that. I feel as a family we have been doing everything to support our health-care system, to protect ourselves, and my kids are being penalized,” said Stein..“We are being pushed to the side, and that is really disturbing.”.Reid Small is a BC correspondent for the Western Standard.,rsmall@westernstandardonline.com,.Twitter.com/reidsmall
