The Anglican Church of Canada (ACC) has created a prayer requesting hope for people before they undergo gender change surgeries. .“Moments ago, ‘Pastoral Liturgies for Journeys of Gender Affirmation & Transition’ — rites and prayers supplemental to the BAS prayer book (+ first known authorized liturgies of their kind in @AnglicanWorld) — was authorized by our 43rd General Synod,” said the ACC. .The ACC starts off the prayer by asking God for “your blessing [on N’s family, their healthcare teams and] on all who will support them in this process.” .“We ask that they would know your goodness and love in them,” it said. .“We ask that you would guide and direct (name) (and their support team) in each step of this process.” .The prayer asks God to sustain and keep people changing genders.
