Cody Fajardo and the Saskatchewan Roughriders took revenge on the Montreal Alouettes on Saturday with a 41-20 victory at Mosaic Stadium..Fajardo played with a knee injury that he suffered back in week two against the Edmonton Elk..There were no signs that the knee injury affected Fajardo until the third quarter when Alouettes’ defensive end Antonio Simmons was penalized for roughing the passer with a low hit..Fajardo had a noticeable limp until the end of the game..“If I didn’t have my knee brace on, I probably would not have finished that game, but it set me back for sure,” said Fajardo at the post-game press conference..“I gotta go see the doc, but it’s gonna set me back and I thought I was gonna be able to take the brace off next week, but God had other plans for me. It looks like this knee brace will be on me for a couple more weeks.”.Fajardo had an acceptable game with 224 passing yards while completing 18 of 29 passes and no interceptions..This week was the first game with no interceptions and an improvement from last week’s Alouettes game where he threw two interceptions..Fajardo added two touchdown throws and one quarterback sneak for a touchdown..This is another short week for the Roughriders and Fajardo said he needs to do anything he can to be ready for the Ottawa Redblacks on Friday..“Another short week.
