It added Smith’s victory “gives you a mandate from Albertans who have grown tired of the persistent mistreatment from Ottawa and the Federal Government of Canada.” .The letter went on to say her campaign raised the hopes of many Albertans who believe in the province’s potential to flourish on its own terms. It said her promise to uphold Alberta sovereignty within Canada resonated with many and played a key role in her success. .The advocacy group assured her of its support for her quest to bring freedom, prosperity, and respect to Alberta. However, its support does not mean it will shy away from challenging her when necessary. .The APP called the Alberta independence movement “no longer just a whisper; it is growing into a formidable voice that cannot be ignored.” It represents a significant section of Albertans who believe in the potential of an independent province, and it expects its politicians to heed this call. .While she has been successful now, the letter said she will face hurdles and opposition.
