Vote Against Woke has been looking to find unwoke school board trustee candidates in Ontario to encourage people to elect them. .“In my neighborhood, many people were asking the question, including myself, ‘which school trustee candidates are not woke?’” said Vote Against Woke representative Annie Larsson in a Monday interview. .“Our discussion revolves around the frustration of living in a country with high taxes with the supposed benefit of well-funded schools, but then facing the reality political infiltration of schools was getting to the point where we could not put our children in them.” .Larsson said Vote Against Woke is opposed to wokeism because it “introduces political ideology into the school system that a large part of the population either disagrees with or simply don't believe should be taught to children.” She said people are scared and annoyed with social justice. .Vote Against Woke has created a database of Ontario school board trustee candidates opposed to wokeism who people should vote for. All people have to do is find their school board on the website and make a note of who to support. .Larsson said it identifies unwoke trustee candidates by crowd sourcing. Through feedback from Twitter and the website, she said it compiles data. .The advocacy group does not dictate or suggest policies to the unwoke trustees it recommends. She said policies vary across the political spectrum, except “the ‘woke’ spectrum has been cut out.” .Larsson said about 5% of candidates running as trustees identified as unwoke.
