Two people are dead and two suspects have been arrested following a broad daylight shooting in Whistler, BC Sunday afternoon..Shortly after 12 p.m. Sunday the Sea-to-Sky Whistler RCMP responded to the Sundial Boutique Hotel after two men had been shot — one of whom died at the scene. The second man succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at a local medical clinic, police say..Officers located and arrested two suspects near Squamish and a vehicle believed to be connected to the shooting was found burning in the 3300-block of Whistler's Ptarmigan Place..The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has since taken over the case and is working closely with other agencies, including the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU), the province’s anti-gang agency..The victims have been identified as Satindera Gill and Meninder Dhaliwal, both of whom were known to police and one of whom — Dhaliwal — was believed to be a member of the Brothers Keepers..Dhaliwal’s brother Harb was gunned down in Vancouver’s Coal Harbour on April 17, 2021. A member of Harb’s group chased the shooter down, stabbing him in the eye. That person is said to have been Dhaliwal, however he was never charged for the stabbing..
