Arrests have been made and charges laid in the shooting of Ripudaman Singh Malik..Malik, who became notorious after being charged and eventually acquitted in the 1985 Air India bombing, was shot and killed in Surrey, BC nearly two weeks ago..Officers provided first aid until paramedics arrived, however Malik succumbed to his injuries..“This appears to be a targeted shooting,” read a Surrey RCMP statement at the time..A suspect vehicle had also been located in the 12200-block of 128 Street engulfed in flames..Now, nearly two weeks later, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says it has obtained charges of first degree murder against 21-year-old Tanner Fox and 23-year-old Jose Lopez..Court records show Lopez as having previously attended court on firearm-related charges, and robbery charges for Fox..In 2005, Malik and his co-accused were acquitted of mass-murder and conspiracy charges in relation to the June 23, 1985 bombing that claimed the lives 280 Canadians, including 86 children.
