A dog was found suffering gunshot wounds after being abandoned by her owner in Beaverdell, BC..The BC SCPCA said the dog, named Rose, was abandoned on a property in the southern interior, along with another dog for more than a week after the owner had been evicted..“The landlord discovered them, but waited to see if the owner would come back, but unfortunately, he never did,” said Sean Hogan, SPCA..Hogan said the dogs had been frightened during a storm, causing them to run into the woods. Upon returning, the male dog was found with minor injuries while Rose had “multiple, serious injuries” which were infected and becoming necrotic..Barely able to eat or drink, Hogan said the dog was taken to an emergency veterinary hospital where buckshot had been found scattered within her body, determining Rose had been shot..The dog underwent multiple procedures on her face and neck, as well as the treatment of a “severe” chest wound..
