Alberta Premier Danielle Smith toured the smoldering ground in Parkland County on Sunday to see the damage in Entwistle..She also met with officials for an update on the sitution in the area.."We were talking about the process that they went through when the fires began, and how they had to manage it with the dozers to make sure that they were getting down to bare earth to create firebreaks," Smith told the Western Standard in an interview at the scene.."They were giving me an indication on that map of where the fire was moving to and how quickly and how close it got to to Evansburg and the reason why they had to evacuate. there were also talks about how they had to, unfortunately make a second decision after bringing people home to evacuate again and we're just doing the assessment now.". Burnt Forest in Parkland County .Smith said once an acessment is completed, they'll should be able to get people back home.."So those are the things that I'm also hearing," Smith said..The ground still smokes in Parkland County as officials continue to observe the situtuion. the mayor of Parkland County confirmed only one house was lost and some outbuildings.."At this point we've confirmed that we have lost one residence as well as some outbuildings and we don't have any further information at this point in time," Allan Gamble said.."We still do have a full evacuation order that is in place now for the Hamlet of Entwistle.".the government issued this bulletin at 6 p.m..Mandatory evacuation orders are in effect for the following areas.
