UCP leadership hopeful Danielle Smith is calling out the the candidates who canceled last minute on the most recent debate. .There was hardly a seat empty at the Alberta Prosperity Project and Rebel News UCP leadership debate at the Convention Centre in Edmonton on Thursday evening. However, only three of the seven candidates showed up.."Some candidates did not show up to the most recent debate," Smith said on Twitter.."They cancelled at the last minute, because they were concerned about CBC cancel culture.".Rebel News president Ezra Levant commented on Travis Toews decision to not attend the debate.."CBC called them up with a gotcha story. They panicked. They canceled themselves," Levant said..Smith believes Albertans frustrated by Ottawa should not be mocked or alienated by any candidate.."I want to convince loyal Albertans that we can still save Canada together. That is why the sovereignty act is so vital to restoring respect," Smith said.
