Elections Alberta said Thursday that over the next 10 days, all returning offices will be completing the official count process for election 2023..The official results will be announced on Thursday, June 8 at 10 a.m.."The electoral divisions where the difference between the votes for the candidate with the highest number of votes and the candidate with the next highest number of votes is 100 votes or less," Elections Alberta said in a statement to the Western Standard.."The returning officer will perform a full recount of all election day, mobile voting and special ballots. This process will be occurring in Calgary-Acadia and Calgary-Glenmore.".Elections Alberta said for electoral divisions where the difference between the votes for the candidate with the highest number of votes and the candidate with the next highest number of votes is 101 or more, the returning officer will review all Statement of Votes, rejected ballots and objected to ballots.."In both cases of an official count or an official verification, all tabulator results are reviewed and verified," Elections Alberta said.."Following the announcement of official results, there is an eight-day period in which candidates can make an application to the Court of King’s Bench for a judicial recount."
