On arrival, officers located the male at the property and learned a male suspect fled the area in a vehicle. The male victim was taken to the hospital to seek medical assistance for serious injuries resulting from a gunshot..At 11:10 am, officers were called to St. Clare’s Hospital in St. John's after a male showed up with a gunshot wound. Responding officers determined the male had sustained the gunshot wound in the Greeleytown Road area of CBS..At 1 pm, RNC patrol officers responded to another report of a shooting on Peachytown Road in CBS. This report remains under investigation..As a result of the ongoing investigation, the RNC launched a search for 31-year-old Matthew Fowler of CBS in connection with the event. The suspect was believed to be armed and operating a black Subaru Legacy. The RNC issued an alert to all devices and broadcasts on the Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland and Labrador in connection with the armed suspect..Following investigative operations of the RNC, the suspect vehicle was located in the metro region, and Fowler was taken into custody on St. Thomas Line in Paradise..
