Text sent by ETSBroder was sent this text by the ETS. ."As mentioned transit peace officers will be there as soon as they can. The on-site security staff is there to observe and report only.".Broder replied: "OK well now he has a knife out.".Broder is not the only Edmonton transit rider with safety concerns.."I got on the public transit going to work this morning, a young female under a blanket smoking crack. I told the driver. He says nothing can be done. The City of Edmonton doesn't do anything. I was just letting him know how strong the smell of crack was. It was terrible," another person said.."My son and I took the LRT from Clareview to Southgate and then back, for some Christmas shopping," an Edmonton woman said.."During that time we were exposed to people on drugs, using drugs (needles) and asked for drugs.".The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is investigating the suspicious death of a male assaulted earlier this month outside the Coliseum LRT station..On Monday, hospital staff contacted police after an injured male had been transported to the hospital by EMS that morning. The male had been located unresponsive outside the Coliseum LRT station just before 10 a.m. He later died in hospital..The Edmonton Medical Examiner completed an autopsy on the deceased, Calvin Ross Moosewah, 46. The cause and manner of death are pending further testing.."The death has been deemed suspicious, and the homicide section is leading the investigation," the EPS stated..Moosewah primarily resided in encampments in and around the downtown core.."Investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have information on his whereabouts and activities," the EPS stated..Anyone with information is asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567.
