Mounties have issued a dangerous person alert following an armed robbery in Mayerthorpe, about 120 kilometres northwest of Edmonton. The alert is in effect for the area surrounding Mayerthorpe, near Highway 18 and Township Road 572, between RR 92 and RR 80.According to cops two men armed with guns are on foot and at large after fleeing a robbery in town.Suspect 1 is a white male, 5'11, 205 pounds, dark hair, brown eyes, approximately 30 year old, in a cowboy hat and black sweater.Suspect 2 is a white male, 6'0, 220 pounds with brown hair, blue eyes, in a black flat brim hat with red letters.Suspects may be seen in the Mayerthorpe and Lac Ste. Anne County areas.Members of the public are urged not to approach the suspects and report all sightings to 911.
